Nowadays, television networks are becoming more realistic in creating television shows for the general viewing public. It seems that people now are entertained by seeing other ordinary people doing extraordinary stuff on air!
Nowadays, television networks are becoming more realistic in creating television shows for the general viewing public. It seems that people now are entertained by seeing other ordinary people doing extraordinary stuff on air! Reality shows have become popular in the past few years among general viewing public. These hour long episodes attract attention because ordinary men become the cast of the program and they are in an unscripted situation struggling to reach their targets and perform tasks in the best manner in actual events. Television companies have added variety to the reality shows. These can be classified as game shows, elimination round shows, dating shows, self improvement programs, dating shows, houses hidden camera shows, talk shows and documentary style programs. General public remains tireless watching these reality shows. The people participating in the reality shows with new faces are unfamiliar to the camera. Contestants aren't too comfortable with the camera on them. For instance, in the Amazing Race, the participants will travel around the world to find and solve various clues indicating their way to the grand prize they contest for. They will beat several clues while racing. Viewers can see the anxiety among the contestants in such reality shows. When the participants hurry through the airports, do not understand local language, getting flights in schedule and the competition in the participants increases the anxiety which can be easily seen on television by the public. The TV actors do not show anxiety commonly on television. This scenario showing anxiety makes the episodes more real and connects the public to factual world. For a more adventurous show, we watch the popular reality show Fear Factor. Here we see a group of contestants that compete each other by doing something that can be very scary for some, but fairly easy for others. Participants in the Fear Factor struggle with their own fear and anxiety in a way one can't just imagine. They eat living insects, jump from a height of three hundred feet in the air and get locked with snakes in the coffin. Entertainment is really evolving into a totally different era. Being real in television is already considered as enjoyment for other people. A sense of fear and anxiety can really hype up the viewing audience. By watching reality shows such as these, it would give us the impression of what's real and what's not.
