Where To Get Your MP3s From

August 17th, 2009

There are many various sites that you can download MP3s from. Sometimes it can be difficult choosing a site. This is especially true if you?re not sure which sites are legal. Another huge factor in choosing a site is the price. Each site prices its music differently. You should search several sites to find the one that will offer you the best performance and price.

You will want to ensure that the site is legal before you download music from it. It?s easy to download music without having to pay for it however it?s illegal. However there are many sites that will charge you one price for unlimited downloads and almost all of these sites don?t have permission from record companies so these sites are not legal either. Many sites know that they can?t upload music however they act as a link between users who share the music. This technology is also known as P2P or peer to peer sharing. This method of downloading music is not legal either.

So how do you find a site that is legitimate and provides good priced music? Well you will have to do a little research. It?s a good idea to read some reviews and look up information on search engine sites so that you know which sites record companies endorse. There are many reputable sites such as Amazon that will allow you to download music either by price per song or price per album. Also by downloading from a reputable site you will have less risk of getting a virus or other malicious software.

The next factor is finding a site that has the best price. You will want to check several sites to get an idea of how pricing works. Some sites will charge a flat rate per song and per album while other sites will charge more for newer music and less for older music. There are a few sites that you can legally download many songs for one price per month however you will not own the song you will have the song and be using it legally.

In many cases the best priced site will depend on how much music you want to download and whether they?re specific songs or whole albums. Besides music there are several sites that offer users the ability to download wallpapers, pictures, and videos. If you?re an avid iPod user that has multiple types of media on your iPod then you may want to consider sticking with one of these sites as you?ll have access to a lot more media types then just MP3s. In the end it?s all about how much and what you?re trying to download.

Chicago Movie Reviews

August 11th, 2009

If you arrived to see film reviews skip down to read them. In this paragraph I will give you some search terms to reach movie down load sites. “Best Music Download Sites” or “Movies And Download” might get you a good result, if they don’t, try “Buy DVD Movies”.

Slaughter’s Big Ripoff: A murderer is still playing games with the Mob in this dull actioner. McMahon gives more effort to his role as the mob boss than it merits. Cast inccludes Jim Brown, Ed McMahon, Brock Peters, Don Stroud, Gloria Hendry, Dick Anthony Williams, and Art Metrano. (93 minutes, 1973)

Defiance: Abrasive little film in reference to rootless blue-collar hermit Vincent, who tries to match up his dying kid’s bone marrow on his own. He then tames a ferocious N.Y.C. road gang. Cast includes Jan-Michael Vincent, Craft Camey, Theresa Saldana, and Danny Aiello. (102 minutes, 1980)

The Painted Veil: In 1925 London, a socially backward bacteriologist hastily solicits an appealing lady to wed him, and she concurs. While he sees that she’s been cheating, he forces her to go along with him to a remote outpost in China where there’s been an eruption of cholera. Albeit meant as punishment, this experience steadily changes and deepens their relation. Cast includes Naomi Watts, Edward Norton, Liev Schreiber, and Toby Jones. (125 minutes, 2006)

PCV: Partisan correctness is out of sorts at Port Chester University which leads to the unavoidable conflict between a cadre of excessively militant scholar groups and a college girl group who revel in their political incorrectness. Cast includes Jeremy Piven, Chris Youthful, David Spade, Megan Ward, Jon Favreau, Jessica Walter, Sarah Spark, Jake Busey, and George Clinton. (80 minutes, 1994)

Rhapsody in August: Average (by his estimations) little Kurosawa piece in reference to the hurtful rememberings of a Japanese woman who recollects the bombing of Nagasaki at the end of WW2. Gere, in a hyped up cameo, doesn’t appear too out of place as a Japanese American member of the old lady’s lengthened family. Cast includes Sachiko Murase, Richard Gere, and Narumi Kayashima. (98 minutes, 1991)

The Jackpot: Un-contemporary, little comedy, uplifted by megastars. Stewart is the winner of a stereo competition although couldn’t pay the levies on the winnings. Cast includes James Stewart, Barbara Hale, James Gleason, Fred Clark, and Natalie Wood. (87 minutes, 1960)

Macaroni: An uptight American businessman goes to Naples and finds some incomplete personal business left over from his last visit while he was an amorous cadet in the Second World War. 2 of the planet’s most charming entertainers try to keep this film together, and nearly triumph. Cast includes Jack Lemmon, Marcello Mastroianni, Daria Nicolodi, Isa Danieli, and Maria Luisa Saniella. (104 minutes, 1985)

Dusty: Discreet, feeling little film in regards to a dingo (crazy mutt of the bush), seized when a doggy and ultimately brought up by an old gentleman (Kerr). Grownups can like it as much as babies. Cast includes John Richardson. Bill Kerr, Noel Trevarthen, Carol Bums, Nicholas Holland, John Stanton, and Kate Edwards. (88 minutes, 1982)

Bootmen: Novice director Perry (of the dance group Tap Mutts) used his own background to develop this toe tapping film of a youthful gentleman’s escape into big-time show business- and then back once more as he rallies his blue collar tap-dancing cronies to build his own modern-day dance show. Cast includes Adam Garcia, Sam Worthington, Sophie Lee, Christopher Horsey, Lee McDonald, William Zappa, and Richard Carter. (93 minutes, 2000)

I hope you enjoyed the reviews. Internet searches like “How To Download Movies” and “Full Movie Download” will help you find film download sites. You can search “Online DVD Rental Service” if the others don’t help you.

Free Music Online Tips

August 06th, 2009

A lot of people look for free music download programs to get limitless free MP3 downloads online. But the truth is that a few file share software could be putting you, your computer, and your online privacy at risk. And if that’s not bad enough, using a file sharing program could also get you in serious trouble with the RIAA or the MPAA. It’s no secret that the RIAA has been actively seeking out music file sharers that criminally download or file share copy-righted music online. And recently, the MPAA has started their own campaign to sue file sharers that download and file share movies illegally as well.

There are several other issues of concern in addition to the risk of lawsuits by RIAA and MPAA for copy-right infringement. There are other hidden dangers in using free MP3 downloads and using their file share software. Some of top dangers are enumerated below.

Adware- Adware is used by large media companies and is installed in most file sharing programs. Banner ads for file share software are provided by media companies as a way to generate profit from the free music that is being downloaded. The downside for the consumer is that adware will overload the computer with unwanted advertising and can cause problems for the computer’s system.

Spyware- Free music download programs often come installed with Spyware. Spyware, as the name suggests, gathers information about what websites you visit. It can also perform actions without your knowledge, such as changing files and system settings. Spyware if often an inevitable part of using free music downloads, so consider the problems this could cause to your computer before using these programs.

Spoofing- Spoofing is another risk that comes with downloading music. If you’ve ever thought you were downloading a song, only to end up with a corrupt music file instead, you’ve been a victim of spoofing. One of the new types of spoofing involves a music episode about half a minute in length that plays continuously for several minutes. Some people speculate that these corrupted files are an attempt by the RIAA to discourage illegal music download, by making people more willing to pay for good quality music.

4) Pornography – Pornography is a very serious problem when using file share software. Every file share user should be aware that porn peddlers will camouflage their software as a new game download, or free music downloads files, to get you to click on the link. If you click on the fake file, you’ll be redirected to a porn site. It’s sneaky, and a very serious problem if kids have access to file sharing programs.

Summary: If you want to download music online, there are ways to do this legally. There are some sites that charge very reasonable fees for down loads and you don?t run the risk of copy-right infringement lawsuits by the RIAA and MPAA. There are also some perfectly legal free download sites available. You should educate yourself on the subject of music downloads before proceeding to protect yourself from legal issues and to protect your computer from hidden dangers.

Thumper Jones

July 31st, 2009

If you know — good. If you don’t — you should. George Jones was one of the hardest drinking, fastest living son of a guns in all of country music history. Admittedly living a life modeled after his hero, Hank Williams, George Jones blazed a trail of infamy and heartache across the wide-open plains of country music history. Known for his distinctive voice and loose phrasing style, the exploits of George Jones have passed from mere stories into legend.

According to a Country Music Television poll, Jones is the “the greatest living country singer” today. In true George Jones style, I’m sure hed say something to the effect, “it’s the living part that’s tricky.” His clever turn of phrases and unusual vocal style can best be sampled on such legendary hits as “White Lightin’” and “He Stopped Loving Her Today.” Then again, all of his songs carry that signature sound.

Of course Jones was famously married to Tammy Wynette. This marriage made in madness was the stuff of legend, often requiring the services of the local sheriff to help them mediate. Of course that’s a fancy word for “cool off.” Between his drinking problem and her drug addiction, it was not the high point of marital bliss for either one of them, When it all came crashing down in 1975, no one was surprised.

What’s age got to do with it? Despite being in to his seventies now, George Jones has not stopped recording or touring. Indeed, he is on tour this summer and is coming to a local gin joint near you. Though there might no be as much pep in his step, his voice is as rich and full as ever. No one can turn a song like The Possum. For those of you not in the know, that’s his nickname.

Getting your hands on a set of George Jones tickets is as easy as pie. You just have to follow the links to the best little booking service around. Don’t wait until the last minute and fall prey to the scalpers. Get a great ticket at a fair price and sleep well at night. But do it quick, because the Possum is not on tour for long.

Ring Tones – Yeh Dil Maange More

July 30th, 2009

The words in the Pepsi advertisement jingle compiled for the Indian audience, literally translating to “the heart wants more” and most everyone’s craze for new and varied ring tones are a perfect match. With the number of cell phone connections sky rocketing in India and the rest of the world, this is one craze that has very little chance of ebbing away. Not that I am one to complain, especially if the tune is one of Kishore Kumar’s evergreen melodies! But I’d draw the line at some of the more bizarre tunes or so called tunes, like a baby crying or the sound of a ‘fart’ that some individuals insist on assaulting our eardrums with.

Some basic points about the ring tone:

1. It is the name given to the sound made by any kind of telephone, not just mobile phones, to announce an incoming call or text message. Most of these sounds, especially those that do not have a tune or are not customised, are not tones at all and should actually be called ring sounds.

2. The first telephones had a bell which made a ‘ring’ing sound when struck by a hammer, operating electromagnetically, to announce a call. While this system is still common, most cell phones and modern land line phones have advanced from the ring to producing different kinds of sounds.

3. While receivers nowadays allow adjustments to the volume, there are many variations on offer regarding the type of ring tone – to allow differentiation between two or more instruments lying side by side. Specific customer requirements are also covered, such as for the hearing impaired.

4. Towards the late 1980s mechanical ring tones were slowly getting replaced by electronic ones progressing from single tones to those playing two, three or more tones and then on to melodies.

5. 1996 saw the advent of the customised ring tones on mobile phones, with some Japanese manufacturers offering a number of options, both customised and pre-recorded.

6. Downloadable ring tones were available from 1998 and this service has now become an enormously successful industry right across the globe.

7. Real tones, which are usually taken from popular songs, began to be distributed from late in 2002.

All the new music being generated by bands, composers, films, etc. number in the hundreds of thousands across the world. Marketing these as ring tones before or at the time of launch allows the tune to become popular and improve the prospects of it becoming a ‘hit’. Ring tones are now available online, can be sent via sms or copied from a DVD or CD. A number of sites specialise in bringing the latest offerings to the consumer, sometimes the second it’s out of the recording studio. There is a huge amount of financial turnover in this business, running into billions of dollars, because everyone would love to have only the latest and the best. Since I am no different from most others and want options for everything, my heart to get to have more . ring tones!

BEATLES Hard Day’s Night CD ” Timeless Music Better Than Ever

July 28th, 2009

Some music just seems to stand the test of time and I am sure that the Beatles top the list. Iconic legends of times and music gone by there are surely just as many if more Beatles fans today as there were back when this music first hit the music store shelves.

John, Paul, George and Ringo live on in the hearts of millions of fans. Whether you are a die-hard fan or not even really familiar with their music, you must pick up a copy of the BEATLES Hard Days Night CD for yourself and fall in love all over again.

The Hard Days Night album was actually the Fab Fours first album that was full of completely original material. Although many will say that their evolution from British Invasion pin ups to pop music legends began earlier in their career, Hard Days Night was definitely the first album to really put them on the road to their destiny of becoming the greatest pop band of all times. And with tracks like I Should Have Known Better, And I Love Her, Cant Buy Me Love and of course the title track Hard Days Night, this has got to be one of the most popular albums of all time.

Although this album has been available, on vinyl, since its original release, there is nothing compared to listen to it on CD. The crisp and clear sound quality will make you think you are listening to it for the first time, and the CD format will bring in a whole new, and younger, generations of fans.

This whole album bring forth a feeling of excitement and joy. It goes without saying that Lennon and McCarthy have a sound that is yet to be matched by any other in the business.

Reviews at the Opera: Madame Butterfly

July 25th, 2009

Madame Butterfly is an opera written by Giacomo Puccini which is very popular. We strongly recommend opera glasses for this breathtaking opera. The reasons why are about to be shown to you.

The story of Madame Butterfly begins with a U.S. Naval Officer by the name of Pinkerton, and a Goro, a Japanese Marriage Broker. Pinkerton and Goro are looking at a quaint little house built atop a hill overlooking the bay. Pinkerton finds himself inspecting the home for his beautiful bride, and himself to live in. Pinkerton, upon completion of the home decides to buy the home for 999 years, while holding the right to cancel the agreement at any time.

The wedding ceremony is soon to take place between Pinkerton and Butterfly. A lot of Butterfly’s relatives will be flying in and coming to the wedding. Butterfly’s uncle will not attend the wedding as he is a priest.

Pinkerton of course plans to marry Butterfly however, his true goal in life is to gain the love of as many beautiful women as possible, as he puts it, and he will not be satisfied until he captures the flowers of every shore. For this reason he retained the right to cancel the agreement any month. The time approaches that the stage will introduce you to the elegant Butterfly, have your opera glasses prepared.

Before you get to see Butterfly’s beauty, one final part of the opera plays through. The American Consul, who is with Pinkerton, asks him if he loves Madame Butterfly. A yes will not come out of the mouth of Pinkerton, nor could it, for Pinkerton, is simply infatuated with Butterfly’s innocence, beauty and charm. He does not love her. Pinkerton then begins to speak of one day having an American woman to wed.

The Beautiful Butterfly graces the stage; Butterfly and Pinkerton are married with all of Butterfly’s family in attendance. As the celebration of the wedding continues, Butterfly’s uncle, the priest breaks in to the party and condemns Butterfly for renouncing her religion to marry Pinkerton. Butterfly’s heart breaks and finds herself in the arms of Pinkerton being comforted.

Months and weeks pass Butterfly and Pinkerton stay happily married, Butterfly is beyond content, nearly exploding with joy with the marriage to the man that she loves so much. One day Pinkerton finds that he must leave to fulfill his service as a naval officer, and tells Butterfly that he will soon return.

As act three begins, we come to know that three years have passed since Pinkerton walked out the door for the last time. Butterfly faithfully watches out the window each day to see if his ship will come in. One day as she is watching out the window, she sees a figure that she recognizes walking up the path. No it is not Pinkerton coming up the path, but his good friend that she has known from the beginning as his friend the American Consul. She greets him excitedly hoping that he brings news from her husband. Unknown to Butterfly, the American Consul has been sent to her by Pinkerton to tell her that he has married an American woman named Kate, and that he would not be returning to her ever. Broken hearted, the American Consul Curses Pinkerton, and gives the news so hard to bear.

Destroyed by the news left by Pinkerton’s friend, Butterfly leaves the room weeping, only to return carrying Pinkerton’s son that she has given birth to. Butterfly tells the American that Pinkerton could not leave his wife and son for another woman. After some convincing she succumbs to the fact that Pinkerton did not love her, and is not to return.

The story does not end here, but to find out the end of the story you will have to see Madame Butterfly for yourself. The costumes are sure to amaze, the music cannot be forgotten, and the story riveting. Make sure you don’t forget to bring your opera glasses so that you can fully enjoy every moment.

No Excuse For Movie Downloads

July 21st, 2009

The internet has brought many things, but some of them aren’t always good, such as in the case of illegitimate movie downloads. Because they are so common, it is easy to access them without ever getting caught. Ask any young person confidentially and they will likely admit to downloading movies whether for their friends or for their own pleasure at home.

Don’t panic and think you’re doing anything illegal just because you watch videos on YouTube. This is a far different process, because the owners of the videos post them up willingly for you to watch.

But when somebody posts a movie produced by a company without their permission, he is stealing – and as such, you are as well.

The problem is that a lot of people think the only ones who are doing anything really wrong are the people doing the actual uploading and that those who are only watching the videos, are innocent. However, it only takes a brief look at legal statements released by the Motion Picture Association of America, the MPAA, to know how very untrue that belief is.

You wouldn’t deal with stolen goods on the street, and so you shouldn’t have to deal with them online. It can be tempting to get your hands on your favorite movie before it’s available on DVD, but it just isn’t fair to the people who put a lot of hard work into the process. There really aren’t excuses for this kind of behavior. It’s just downright selfish.

If all the people who did illegal downloading were caught, prisons would be filled with them and the amount of fines being paid by others would add to a huge amount of money.

However, these people don’t always get caught. In fact, the vast majority never have to worry about a thing, which is why so many people continue to download no matter how horrible the stories of those few unlucky individuals who were found out might be to hear.

Unfortunately, there is a common thought process for many people wherein their only concern is their own risk. Because they probably aren’t going to get caught, they don’t feel as though there’s any reason for them to stop what they’re doing. It’s a rationalization process that keeps them from having to consider the actual consequences of their actions.

Though it might be hard, you need to be a better person when it comes to downloading movies, and just stop doing it illegally altogether.

Imagine if you were in their shoes. Knowing how frustrating it would be will hopefully make you more sympathetic.

We often justify our downloads by thinking that all people who work in movies are overpaid, and in some cases, this is true. However, there are also a lot of people involved in film production who don’t make much of everything and need every dollar they can get. When you stop downloading movies illegally, you’ll be giving some things up, but you’ll feel a weight off your shoulders as well.
